President emeritus of the New Jersey District, LCMS, Don has been helping congregations turn ministry visions into reality since joining CFS in 2000. He helps congregations and their leaders grow in the grace of giving through biblically based, capital stewardship campaigns. Much of his work has been in the Midwest, especially Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana.
Don’s 37 years in full-time ministry give him unique insight into the diverse needs of congregations. He served most of that ministry in New Jersey, 22 years as a parish pastor and 15 years as district president. He assisted churches in many different areas, the most enjoyable being stewardship. His work with CFS gives him the opportunity to continue developing processes tailored to the needs and strengths of the local situation.
Don graduated from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Mo., and later earned a master’s of sacred theology from that institution. In 1980, he earned a doctorate in ministry from Drew University Theological School, Madison, N.J.
Don and his wife are residents of Indiana.
